Rebolt Kit Pt 2

The bolts used on the 2240 are made of a pretty soft material. Some of the screws require square drives and allen wrenches and some times the heads round off. To make working on the pistol easier and to "dress up" the pistol many people replace the most common screws with brass or stainless steel screws.

A trip to the local hardware store can usually provide the replacement screws. Except for the rear frame and the rear site screws the head size do not matter all that much. If given a choice the smallest possible head size is the best for the rear frame and sight screws.

These are not the factory lengths, but are common lengths that can be found in the hardware store.
