About the Author

 

I am the author of a couple of  books and a home hobbyist. I have been working improving the form, fit and function of the pellet guns built on the 2240 trigger frame with a minimum of expense, and when possible, with items commonly found in a hardware store.

 

While wanting to assist other first time buyers in making well informed air gun buying decisions, I was also improving on the Crosman 2240 in a backyard, old farmer kind-of-way and posting on air gun forums of interest. So... I started this blog on the "Crosman 2240" page

 

I also wrote the first and only airgun dictionary so folks could discover..."What those guys on the air gun forum are talking about." There are over 2,000 terms and 1,500 definitions related to air guns. The book  addresses airsoft, paintball, bb gun, pellet gun, target shooting, hunting, gunsmithing, and modification related terms.

 

I retired from curriculum development and teaching. But, from 1999 to 2009 I was a recreational shooter and the owner/operator of a Federal Firearm License gun dealership while working as a gunsmith as well. In 2010, I moved to an area with very restrictive gun laws and turned my interests to air guns as they were unrestricted.

 

My research into air guns led me to pellet guns and  my interest in pellet guns alone  prompted me to begin work on, what I called, "The Airgun Encyclopedia" and four years later ... "The Airgun Dictionary: A Study Guide" was created.

 

The Airgun Dictionary is currently published on Amazon and is also available in  Kindle e-books and it is possible to download a free app to read the book on any internet device. I have given up my plan to publish The Airgun Encyclopedia... The good news is that I plan to publish 7 individual books that will contain the information by topic rather than alphabetically. I have plans to publish the next 7 books In this order: The Airgun Guide Book 1: How and Why to Buy an Airgun; #2 Sights, Scopes and Pellets; #3 Marksmanship and Airgun Hunting; #4 Ballistics, Tuning, Accurizing and Cleaning; #5 Competition Shooting; #6 Crosman 2240, 50..., 60 Modifications, and; #7 The Airgun Dictionary: Expanded and Unabridged.
