2240 Shoulder stock

Behold the Current Crosman Model 1399. This is a shoulder stock intended to be mounted to a pistol frame. Unlike the 1389 shoulderstock it has holes on each side attach where the pistol grip panels had been mounted. The original 1389 stock had no side holes but attached at a quick disconnect pin, of ill repute, at the rear of the frame. The 1389 frame did come with a spacer pad to take up the slop between the frame and the stock.

The modern 1399 frame does not come with a pad. So, you can live with the wobblie frame, you can buy a pad from Crosman or you can layer some duct tape until it takes up the slack.

Even with the pad or tape on the frame, I still found the shoulder stock a little loose for my liking. I found that the gap where the quick diconnect pin fit offered another wobble point. To fill that gap I added a couple of small weatherstrip material to fill the gap.

In the end I was quite happy with how firmly the pistol grip fit in the shoulder stock
